Search engines now discover new content mostly through sitemaps and links. So treat ping services as a helper and do the main work with these steps:
- Google Search Console: verify your site, submit your sitemap and request indexing for new pages with “URL Inspection”.
- Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow: Bing and Yandex can learn about new pages within minutes via the IndexNow protocol.
- Internal links: link to new posts from your existing pages.
Is pinging too often harmful?
Submitting the same URL repeatedly brings no benefit, and some services may treat it as spam. Notifying once after publishing is enough.
