What an IP lookup is for
It shows the reverse DNS (PTR) of an IP, or the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses a domain resolves to. PTR is the record from the address back to a name. Missing PTR on a mail server is a common reason messages land in spam.
Several addresses usually mean a CDN or a load balancer. One address can still be a single server or an anycast point. This tool does not invent a city. It stays with the resolved addresses and the PTR.
